WHAT WE BELIEVE:
We believe there is one true God - revealed in three persons: Father, Son, & Holy Spirit.
We believe in the inspiration, infallibility, and authority of the Bible, the Word of God.
We believe in the deity and humanity of Jesus, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of His Father, and His personal return to the earth in power and glory.
We believe salvation is available for all people, made possible by the shed blood of Jesus and the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
We believe in a literal Heaven & Hell.
We believe that the unity of believers in Christ across every ethnic, cultural, & socio-economic barrier contributes to belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of God. (John 17:20-23)
We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit:
Salvation - "When you believed you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit." (Ephesians 1:13)
Character - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control." (Galatians 5:22-23)
Boldness - "And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the Word of God boldly." (Acts 4:21)
Spiritual Gifts - "All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines."
(1 Corinthians 12:11)
We believe in the gift of healing for our physical bodies through the laying on of hands and anointing with oil and prayer. (James 5:16-17)
We believe in a separated life following Jesus. This includes both personal and social righteousness, defending the rights of the poor and marginalized. "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." (James 1:27)
